Preparing for Your Procedure

Before your appointment

  • Bring referral letter, previous reports, and medication list.
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete forms.
  • For endoscopy: fasting instructions will be provided if needed.

After your procedure

  • You’ll receive written post-op instructions and contact details.
  • A follow-up visit is usually arranged within 7–14 days.
  • Seek urgent care for fever, severe pain, bleeding, or vomiting.

We charge medical-aid rates. Coverage depends on your plan and benefits. We’ll provide codes/quotes for authorisation where applicable.

How long is recovery after laparoscopic surgery?

Most patients return to light activity in a few days and to normal activity within 1–2 weeks, depending on the procedure and your general health.
